Youth Fostering Change opposes any actions or policies that allow agencies and providers to discriminate against foster parents and adoptive parents based on race, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation.
Thousands of youth in Pennsylvania are leaving the state’s care without adequate support, a loving family, or the resources and people necessary for them to grow into thriving adults. YFC created a toolkit to change that.
In Pennsylvania, 47% of youth who are between the ages of 14 and 21 are placed in group homes and institutions. This figure should be shocking and unacceptable - we know that youth should grow up in families.
