Extended Foster Care in Oklahoma

Eligibility

General Eligibility

Oklahoma does not offer extended foster care, but provides services through its Successful Adulthood program, which is funded by Chafee IL funds.

Re-Entry

Oklahoma law does not allow for re-entry.

Subsidies

Eligibility for Extended Adoption Assistance

Adoption assistance may continue between ages 18 and 21 if the child has a physical or mental handicap which warrants the continuation of assistance. Okla. Stat. tit. 10 § 7510-1.5(D).

Eligibility for Extended Guardianship Assistance

Guardianship assistance may continue between ages 18 and 21 if the child has a physical or mental handicap which warrants the continuation of assistance. Okla. Dep’t of Human Servs., Title IV-E Guardianship Agrmt. § c.2.B (Oct. 2011).
