Eli M. Segal, Esq.
Eli Segal is a partner at the law firm of Troutman Pepper, where his practice focuses on representing journalists in First Amendment matters; colleges and universities in the unique legal issues that they encounter; and other businesses and individuals in the full gamut of commercial litigation. He is co-chair of Troutman Pepper’s First Amendment and Newsroom practice group.
Segal received his B.A. from Yale University and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Before entering private practice, he was a law clerk to Judge Marjorie O. Rendell of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Between college and law school, Segal worked on affordable housing issues at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. During college and law school, Segal volunteered at Juvenile Law Center and is thrilled to now be a member of the Board of Directors.
