Last week, the American Bar Association’s (ABA) House of Delegates unanimously adopted a Model Act Governing the Confidentiality and Expungement of Juvenile Delinquency Records.

The Juvenile Act Advisory Committee released a report and recommendations for amending Pennsylvania's Juvenile Act and the state's sentencing response to the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Miller v. Alabama. Juvenile Law Center Deputy Director and Chief Counsel, Marsha Levick, served on the committee alongside other juvenile justice stakeholders.

Earlier this week, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) introduced a bill to prohibit the use of solitary confinement of youth in federal juvenile facilities.
