Lia is the 2025-2027 Zubrow Fellow for Juvenile Law Center. She graduated from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2025, summa cum laude, and was awarded the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award. She received her undergraduate degree in Systemic and Structural Violence from Westminster University in Salt Lake City, UT, where she worked to improve the welfare of justice-involved youth as a Salt Lake Peer Court supervisor. While in law school she interned with Juvenile Law Center, the Defender Association of Philadelphia, and the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. While at the Defender, she represented youth in family court as a child advocate, and she represented adults in felony preliminary hearings and misdemeanor trials. Lia co-authored an amicus brief to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for Derek Lee on behalf of the UN Special Rapporteur on Racism, challenging the punishment of life without parole for felony murder. She also coauthored a law review article forthcoming in Texas A&M Law Review called “Subverting the System: Reducing Sex Offender Recidivism and Aiding Reentry Through the Use of Specialty Courts.” Lia is thrilled to be back at Juvenile Law Center working to improve the rights and welfare of justice-involved youth.

Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
