Christine Lorica, Esq.
Christine Lorica is a staff attorney at Juvenile Law Center who joined the organization in 2026. Prior to joining Juvenile Law Center, Christine represented youth in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia. Christine began her legal career as an assistant public defender in Baltimore City with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender where she defended children accused of delinquency offenses in Circuit Court and indigent adults accused of misdemeanors in District Court. Christine previously served as a diplomat at the U.S. Embassy in the Central African Republic where she led research and reporting on child protection and human rights issues.
Christine’s passion for youth justice was inspired by her students when she was an AmeriCorps fellow in Boston, Massachusetts. Christine graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from Georgetown Law, where she participated in the Juvenile Justice Clinic and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award and Juvenile Justice Clinic Public Service Award. During law school, Christine was named the 2020 Robert E. Wone Fellow by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association Educational Fund, which supported her internship with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.
Christine is fluent in French and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Boston College where she was a Gabelli Presidential Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa.
