Scott v. Snider

In 1991, Juvenile Law Center co-counseled a lawsuit that challenged the legality of Pennsylvania’s system of providing healthcare to poor children who were eligible for Medical Assistance. The suit was settled in the spring of 1995, with the Department of Public Welfare agreeing to provide comprehensive Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) services to eligible youth in the dependency and delinquency systems throughout Pennsylvania.
