How can Philadelphia make sure that another Glen Mills never happens again? What do youth need to stay free and out of the system?

Join Performing Statistics, Juvenile Law Center, Youth First, the Village of Arts and Humanities, YAP, and many others for a powerful exhibition and virtual reality experience created by youth who were impacted by the juvenile justice system in Richmond, VA, Philadelphia, and beyond. This 3 day exhibit will include virtual reality experiences, films, interactive audio, photographs and mobile murals all created by teens who know these issues better than anyone.

Opening Reception

The opening reception for the exhibit will take place on Tuesday, May 28th from 5pm to 7pm. During the reception there will be light food, special performance by City Love. DJ Dilemma, and HeemFuquan. The opening reception is free and open to the public. This event is family friendly.

Before coming to Philadelphia, the exhibit has engaged tens of thousands viewers, helped advocates close a youth prison in Virginia, and has been used as a classroom to train hundreds of police officers. For our time in Philadelphia we hope to engage system stakeholders and community members in an effort to imagine alternatives to incarceration that can truly build more just, safe, and whole communities.
