Youth Fostering Change advocates attend 2016 Foster Youth in Action Conference in D.C.

Juvenile Law Center,
Youth advocates with Senator Bob Casey Staffer.

Our Youth Fostering Change advocates Shanice, Brittany, and Russel (above) participated in the 2016 Foster Youth in Action Conference in Washington, D.C.! It was an amazing opportunity for our youth to meet other youth advocates and agencies supporting foster youth.

Our Youth Fostering Change advocates also met with a staffer from Senator Robert P. Casey Jr.’s office (below) to discuss the importance of higher education for foster youth and ending youth homelessness. Our 2016-2017 youth engagement programs - Youth Fostering Change and Juveniles for Justice - just kicked off their programs for this year. The conference in D.C. was a great start to their advocacy work!
