Homeless Assistance Program at Northern Tier Community Action Corp.

Services: Provides financial assistance to consumers in Cameron, Elk, McKean & Potter counties in the form of first month, past due or damage deposit rental assistance to families in imminent danger of eviction or are currently homeless. This program is designed to aid families in crisis situations who are in immediate need of housing. Income guidelines do apply.

HUD

Services: HUD is a federal program that provides housing support for individuals in need such as rental programs (including Section 8) and home ownership assistance programs.

Pennsylvania Affordable Apartment Locator

Services: PAHousingSearch.com is a website in which affordable housing can be searched and located within in PA.

Fair Housing/Equal Opportunity at HUD

Services: Hotline service for individuals to report incidences of housing discrimination.

Making Homes Affordable

Services: National nonprofit organization aiming to prevent home foreclosure and reduce monthly payments for eligible individuals and families

Hilton Safe House at Clinton County Women's Center

Services: The Clinton County Women's Center provides services to all victims of domestic or sexual violence. Services include crisis intervention, counseling and supportive services, 24 hour hotline, legal, medial and youth advocacy, community/school education and training and shelter.

Dickinson Center, Inc

Services: Provides behavioral health services including outpatient therapy, partial hospitalization programs, employment support services, case management services, and peer support. Also provide services for individuals with mental retardation including community living, supported employment, transitional work services, adult day services, and in-home supports.

Northern Tier Community Action Corporations

Services: NTCAC is an organization aimed at serving underprivileged families and individuals through antipoverty services such as: Case Management, Emergency Food, Housing, Child Care Information Services, Financial Management Assistance, Nutrition programs, Energy Assistance and Conservation, Weatherization, Food Banks, and Homeless Prevention programs.

Potter County Human Services

Services: Potter County Human Services offers social services to individuals and families of Potter County such as Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs, Children and Youth Services, Emergency Shelter and Housing, Employment, Food and Nutrition. Housing services include Emergency Shelter for children up to 30 days and Transitional Housing in which case management, food, utility assistance and medical transportation are provided.

Projects for Assistance in Transition (PATH)

Services: PATH provides services to assists adolescents/young adults diagnosed with mental illness that are homeless, making referrals for housing and support services.

Services:

Works to provide affordable homeownership and rental apartment options for older adults, low- and moderate-income families, and people with special housing needs. 

Direct VA Loans

Services: Supports veterans in utilizing their entitlement to veteran and active duty benefits for VA home loans as well as other government-backed mortgage programs.

Homeowners' Emergency Mortage Assistance Program

Services: HEMAP is a loan program assisting in foreclosure prevention and mortgage assistance.

National Runaway Switchboard

Services: Toll-free, nationwide hot-line for runaways and troubled youth. Provides information and referral for shelter, counseling, medical and legal services and transportation back home. The hot-line also provides a personal and confidential message relay service between runaways and their families.
