Homeless Assistance Program at Northern Tier Community Action Corp.

Services: Provides financial assistance to consumers in Cameron, Elk, McKean & Potter counties in the form of first month, past due or damage deposit rental assistance to families in imminent danger of eviction or are currently homeless. This program is designed to aid families in crisis situations who are in immediate need of housing. Income guidelines do apply.

Services: Federal program that provides housing supports for individuals in need such as rental programs (including Section 8) and home ownership assistance programs

Pennsylvania Affordable Apartment Locator

Services: Website that allows you to search for affordable housing options in your area

Housing Discrimination Hotline at HUD Regional Office - Philadelphia

Services: Hotline service for individuals to report incidences of housing discrimination.

Northern Tier Community Action Corportations

Services: NTCAC is an organization aimed at serving underprivileged families and individuals through antipoverty services such as: Case Management, Emergency Food, Housing, Child Care Information Services, Financial Management Assistance, Nutrition programs, Energy Assistance and Conservation, Weatherization, Food Banks, and Homeless Prevention programs.

National Runaway Switchboard

Services: Toll-free, nationwide hot-line for runaways and troubled youth. Provides information and referral for shelter, counseling, medical and legal services and transportation back home. The hot-line also provides a personal and confidential message relay service between runaways and their families.
