Services: Website that allows you to search for affordable housing options in your area

Cambria Residential Services

Services: Residential services for individuals with mental health diagnoses or mental retardation. Services include community residential mental retardation services, family living services, community residential mental health services and social rehabilitation mental health services.

Hiram G. Andrews Center

Services: The Hiram G. Andrews Center is a comprehensive facility offering rehabilitative, educational, vocational, life management, and counseling services. Students who have passed the age of compulsory school attendance and can benefit from training received at HGAC may enroll in continuing education.

Housing Discrimination Hotline at HUD Regional Office - Philadelphia

Services: Hotline service for individuals to report incidences of housing discrimination.

USDA Rural Home Ownership Program

Services: U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Guaranteed Rural Home Loans are creating homeownership opportunities throughout Pennsylvania with no-money-down financing in rural communities and areas just outside of major metro areas.

PHFA Homeowner Emergency Mortage Assistance Program

Services:

Works to provide affordable homeownership and rental apartment options for older adults, low- and moderate-income families, and people with special housing needs. 

VA Guaranty Mortgage Loan

Services: Supports veterans in utilizing their entitlement to veteran and active duty benefits for VA home loans as well as other government-backed mortgage programs.

Services: Provides services related to Drug and Alcohol Prevention,Employment and Training,Head Start, Weatherization, and Women, Infants and Children

Shelter Aid Hotline

Services: Offers referrals to shelter services in your area.

Women's Help Center, Inc

Services: Free domestic violence serivces, counseling, 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, children's program, legal advocacy, community education/outreach, and prevention education.

The Christian Home Johnstown, Inc.

Services: Group home/emergency shelter and services for homeless youth between the ages of 16 and 21.

Salvation Army

Services: Food, clothing, shelter, medical and dental assistance, and various other services depending on need.

National Runaway Switchboard

Services: Toll-free, nationwide hot-line for runaways and troubled youth. Provides information and referral for shelter, counseling, medical and legal services and transportation back home. The hot-line also provides a personal and confidential message relay service between runaways and their families.

Habitat for Humanity of Cambria County

Services: Moves families who are living in substandard conditions into a simple, decent and affordable house. All of our funding comes from donations from churches, individuals, businesses, and foundations.

First Energy/Human Services

Services: An emergency hardship fund designed to help residential customers who have suffered a recent financial harship and need temporary help in paying their electric bill, provides free energy conservation measures and education to low income residential customers

The Family Center

Services: The Family Center assists in linking individuals and families with available community resources. Current programs include: Grandparents as Parents, GED classes, free computer training and computer lab, fatherhood initiative, motherhood initiative, medication assistance program, parenting training
