Juvenile Law Center

Know Your Rights Trainings

In conjunction with and with the support of our youth engagement programs, Juvenile Law Center also conducts Know Your Rights trainings for youth currently involved in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. These trainings provide youth with information on their rights, responsibilities, and strategies for self-advocacy and in their respective system.

Child Welfare

The child welfare trainings, conducted throughout Pennsylvania, are based on our "Know Your Rights" guide, published in conjunction with KidsVoice and members of the Pennsylvania Youth Advisory Board. The guide provides youth in Pennsylvania with information about their legal rights in the substitute care system and how they can best advocate for themselves.

Juvenile Justice

The juvenile justice trainings include a focus on restorative justice and rights and responsibilities in the juvenile justice system. Juvenile Law Center has been conducting these trainings at residential treatment facilities over the last three years.

For upcoming Know Your Rights trainings, see our trainings and presentations calendar.

Support Juvenile Law Center
