Juvenile Law Center Announces 17th Zubrow Fellow, Joshua Branch

Since 2002, Juvenile Law Center has been training the next generation of leaders in children’s law through the Sol and Helen Zubrow Fellowship. The Zubrow Fellowship is one of the only post-graduate legal fellowships dedicated to children’s rights in both the child welfare and justice systems. Zubrow Fellows spend two years working on litigation, legislative efforts, training, and policy work on issues ranging from the rights of youth in foster care to the needs of incarcerated children.

We are pleased to announce Joshua Branch as our next Zubrow Fellow. Joshua has dedicated his time in law school to juvenile law and policy and has worked on issues in both civil and criminal law. Joshua attends Georgetown Law School and is currently practicing in Professor Kris Henning's Juvenile Justice Clinic.

Joshua grew up in Lebanon, Pennsylvania - the youngest of four children to Joseph Branch and Aurora Cruz. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University Schreyer Honors College in 2013 with honors and was named Outstanding Student in the Political Science Department.

Prior to attending law school, Joshua pursued his interest in education policy and social advocacy as a teacher in Miami. He later worked for the Democrats for Education Reform (DFER) in Seattle where he analyzed legislation on childcare reform and met with community members to discuss pending legislation.
