Brian Mertens

Associate for Youth Engagement

Brian Mertens joined Juvenile Law Center in August 2011 as its third Philly Fellow. In his current position as Associate for Youth Engagement, Brian helps guide Juvenile Law Center's two youth engagement programs, Youth Fostering Change and Juveniles for Justice. He also assists with Juvenile Law Center's new project, the Youth Speakers Bureau.

Brian graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Arts in Health and Societies. Prior to his fellowship at Juvenile Law Center, he worked as a coordinator for youth development and peer education at the Urban Nutrition Initiative.
